ABOUT ANTIOCH SCHOOL OF MISSIONS
Established in June 2003
Kathmandu, Nepal
Mission Statement:
Making Multiplying Disciples Who in Turn will make other Multiplying Disciples

The Antioch School of Missions has its name derived from what happened in Acts 11 onwards. The challenges for intercultural missions were great and, no doubt, the church in Antioch had this vision. The church at Antioch became the agency to reach the unreached peoples – a sending agency to very different people groups, to the nations. The church at Antioch became the strategic point for Paul and others to reach out to the nations. It remains the continuing agency in its essence. With this in mind the school was named “Antioch School of Missions”, focusing on training inter-cultural missionaries to be better equipped to preach the gospel, in the power of the Holy Spirit, in the Himalayan region and beyond.

Antioch School of Missions offers “Certificate in Intercultural Studies” in the English Medium for five months. This course is particularly designed for those who are preparing for a ministry involving personal evangelism and discipling, indigenous church planting and intercultural missionary service.

The course duration is five months: four months of lectures and a month for outreach. The primary purpose of the outreach is to help students to understand the reality of intercultural situations and missionary life. It will help students to be motivated with evangelistic passion and missionary zeal to reach out the unreached of the Himalayan region and beyond.

Antioch School of Missions educational program deliberately seeks and expects the spiritual formation of the students. We are totally committed to looking for spiritual development centering total commitment to the Lordship of Christ and progressively working outward by the power of the Holy Spirit into every aspect of life.

The Gospel is free, but to proclaim the Gospel is costly. We need God’s people, standing behind us, encouraging, giving and praying.
